To change your Launch Options, open up your game library, we will showcase this step using the Steam launcher. Right-click Team Fortress 2 and navigate to its Properties. In the General tab, you have the option to add Launch Options.

Best Launch Options for Team Fortress 2

-high

This command will set the Team Fortress 2 priority to high. This will increase your game performance, especially if other programs run in the background.

+fps_max 0

This command will uncap your frame rate when setting its value to 0. You can lock the Team Fortress 2 framerate to let’s say 180 when using the command +fps_max 180.

-novid

This will skip the game’s intro every time you launch it, saving you valuable seconds.

-refresh
