If you're a fan of Genshin Impact, you may have encountered the pesky error code 31-4302 when trying to play the game. This error can be frustrating, especially if you're unsure how to fix it. Launch the GenshinImpact.exe application

There are different reasons for this error, and I will first cover the fixes which have helped the most users. First of all, open up your File Explorer. Navigate to the drive on which you saved the game: Program Files: Genshin Impact Game, and here try to launch the game directly from the executable GenshinImpact.exe application.

This should work for most users, but in case the error persists, then go back to your Genshin Impact installation folder, and make sure to delete the blob_storage folder.

Allow Genshin Impact to Bypass your Firewall

Ensure your firewall and anti-virus is not blocking parts of the software. Search for Firewall in your taskbar search to open up your Firewall & Network Protection system settings window. On the window, select Allow an app through firewall.

Windows Defender Firewall > Allow an app through Firewall

Select Change settings, and then Allow another app. Select Browse and your file explorer will open up. Navigate to the drive on which you saved the game, Program files > Genshin Impact Game, and here select the GenshinImpact application and select Open. This will allow you to exclude the application from being blocked by your firewall and will prevent the issue. The next time you open up the launcher, it should redownload and reinstall the missing files we just deleted.
