End all Riot Games & Vanguard Processes

Close Valorant and open up your task manager. In the Processes tab, end all Valorant, Riot, and Vanguard processes still running in the background. Ending tasks in your task manager can help identify the processes which are causing the error.

Restart the Vanguard Process

If you're experiencing issues with Vanguard, Valorant's anti-cheat system, restarting the process may help resolve the problem. To do this, press the Windows key and R to open the RUN dialog box, or search for RUN and hit enter.

Next, enter msconfig in the dialogue box and hit enter. In the General tab, set the startup selection to Normal Startup. Then, go to the Services tab and search for VGC to ensure the service is enabled.
