This issue can be frustrating, but there are several solutions to fix it and get back to gaming with your desired nickname.

In this article, we'll provide you with some tips and tricks to help you fix the "Nickname Already Exists" error in Free Fire. We'll guide you through the troubleshooting process and provide you with some solutions to help you change your nickname successfully.

Access your Free Fire Username Settings

If you wish to rename your Free Fire character, navigate to your Profile section when tapping on your avatar on the top left of your screen.

Free Fire > Profile

Tap on the settings icon in the Gallery tab.

Free Fire Profile > Gallery

In your Basic account Player Info settings, you can see the Nickname option.

Player Information > Basic

Tap on it, and you will see that you can rename your character. This will in any case cost you some in-game currency. If you are getting the “Nickname Already Exists” error, use an invisible character behind your username in order to use it.

Invisible Character: “ㅤ”

This will make your username look like it’s the one you chose and the invisible character will not be shown when playing the game.

Paste the invisible character behind your username

It will look like you can’t paste the character behind your name, but it should work fine when changing it. You can also use other special characters if you want to, which will prevent the nickname already exists error, as it has to be a unique username to use it.
