How To Level Up, Upgrade & Enhance Equipment in Ni No Kuni Cross Worlds

Access Polish
While in-game, tap on the burger menu on the top right of your screen. Select Equipment and then Polish.
Equipment > Polish
Level Up your Equipment
You can select equipment to Level Up on the right-hand side. This can be one of your inventory's offensive, defensive or other equipment items. You will have to pay a price in gold as well as Varnish.
In this case, it would be Water Weapon Varnish, but it will depend on the type of weapon for your character. You can obtain varnish from different sources in the game, such as a Varnish Selection Chest. You might have one you can open in your inventory. After selecting the varnish, you can see how much your equipment will level up. The more material you use, the more you level up your item.
Some of your equipment will only require some gold to be leveled up, so make sure to go over your current equipment. You will have to use up some of your existing items for your defensive equipment to increase the amount you get. The higher-value items will end up leveling up your new item the most.
Upgrade Equipment
In the Upgrade section, you can select the equipment to upgrade. Items which can’t be upgraded will not be selectable. Equipment level 30 or higher can not be upgraded.
Enhance Equipment
Under Enhance, select your equipment, and you can see the price in gold and materials to enhance your item. Increasing your enhancement level will raise the item stats, and the higher level your equipment is, the more materials and gold it will cost you to enhance it.
