How To Setup a Spotify Group Session - Listen with Friends
Are you tired of listening to your music solo and longing for a way to share your tunes with friends? Well, look no further! Spotify has a feature that allows you to listen to music with friends, no matter where they are. It’s called a Group Session and it’s a fun way to enjoy music together in real-time. In this article, we’ll guide you through how to set up a Spotify Group Session, so you can get started sharing the music you love with your friends.
Play Spotify Song
Open up Spotify. If the UI looks a bit different on your device, then update Spotify in your Google Play or App Store. From here, select to play any Spotify song. While playing music, you should see this speaker or desktop icon at the bottom of your screen.
Start Remove Group Session
Select it, which will allow you to switch the device, and below you should see this Start a remote group session option.
Share Group Session Link
Select the last option, and invite up to 7 additional users to listen to your music.
After sharing the link and inviting others, you will remain the primary host. If you pause or change the song, the same will happen on your friend’s devices.
End Group Session
When going back to the devices list, you can see who joined your session, and you can also end the group session from here when tapping on End session.
